The NTC released this on April 18 to assist teachers in the license and registration number process.

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has given some new directives to assist teachers in their quest of completing the requirements for the NTC teacher license and registration number.

The NTC har launched the official teacher license and registration number to all eligible teachers in the Ghana Education Service. The initiative which is said to be effective in May this year has tasked all eligible teachers to submit certain credentials on the NTC Teacher Portal.

 The Council said the program is for both teachers under the Ghana Education Service (GES) and those in the private institutions.

According to the Council, they have already prepopulated some basic information about all GES staff on the portal. 

 However they had advised all participants to ensure that their names on the portal tallies with what is on their individual professional certificate.

1. Go to https://t.co/0yoWAYjcGs 

2. Enter your email address

3. Click “Send reset link” 1/2

4. Check your email for a message from NTC TPG

5. Click and follow the instructions to reset your password

LOST EMAIL AND PASSWORD?

I have forgotten my email and password for Teacher Portal Ghana. How can I login to my account?

If you have forgotten both your password and email, you can use your telephone number to recover your account by going through the process below;

1. Go to https://t.co/xOqP14H10o 1/3

2. Enter your telephone number

3. Click “Send OTP”

5. An OTP will be sent to you within 15 minutes 

6. After receiving your OTP go back to https://t.co/xOqP14H10o and enter your telephone number again

7. A field will be made available to you to enter the OTP code 2/3

8. Enter the OTP code sent to your telephone and submit

9. Click “Reset password”.

10. Click “Change email” to change the email of the current account to a new one so you can use that to log in

11. Click “Update account password” to update the password of the account.

 Meanwhile the Council said that the program is mandatory for all eligible teachers.

“All qualified teachers who fail to avail themselves of this licensing and registration exercise shall lose their right to practise as teachers in Ghana, in accordance with section 64 (1) of the Education Regulatory Bodies Act, 2020, Act 1023,” the Council indicated.
