B/A: Teacher Butchered a man to death -[Read details]

 The incident occurred at Mpatasie a suburb of Berekum. Berekum is a town and is the capital of Berekum Municipal in the Bono Region of Ghana.

 Mr. Amankona Foster a teacher at Berekum-Mpatesie has allegedly butchered his long time friend Francis Yaw Opoku. 

 The incident occurred as a result of a debt unpaid by the deceased. Opoku took an unknown amount from the accused and promised to settle it later. As the due time expired he could not make the payment and this generated some misunderstanding between the two.

 Meanwhile to the surprise of residents, Mr. Amankona pulled a machete and attacked the deceased. Before anyone could get to the scene, the suspect had already devour the deceased into a state of unconciousness.

 According to the residents, the deceased was left in a pool of blood as the suspect fled from the scene after his actions.

 Meanwhile some persons who got to the scene first took the deceased who was unconcious at that time to the Berekum Holy Family Hospital. Some moments later he was pronounced dead as he was said to have lost a lot of blood through the process.

WIDOW

 The wife of the deceased said she was saddled by the news of husband’s unfortunate death. She has, therefore, appealed to the police to apprehend the suspect and have justice served.

INTERVENTION

 At the moment, the case is at the Berekum District Police Command who are investigation to ascertain more information on the case.

 Meanwhile DSP Andrews Okenengye had reported the the Police is on a mission to arrest the suspect as he has currently run to hiding. He therefore appealed to the general public to assist them in their course by providing any information about the hiding place of the suspect.
