“…so I am very serious about stopping nudity”

After her released, Rosemond Alade Brown, also known as Akuapem Poloo says she is serious about her campaign against nudity on social media following her brief exprience at the Nsawam Prison.

It seems much surprising but that is probably the her words. Akuapem Poloo held a press conference some days after her bailed from jail.

In her statement she said she has realized that posting nude photos on social media is tantamount to breaking a legal law hence her stance against it. She emphatically stated that she would do all that she could to end the activities of nudity on social media.

“I least expected that I will be jailed for 90 days. I didn’t know that what I did could take me to prison. I was so down, I was depressed and could not see anything. Since 30th June 2020, my son’s birthday, when I posted that photo, I have not posted anything nude [on social media]. It’s been a year now, so I am very serious about stopping nudity,” she narrated.

The social media influencer had showed a pure sence of regret following her jailed incident and released. Having been granted bail after getting a 90-day jail term for publishing a photo of herself posing naked in front of her son, she urged the public to refrain from such deeds.

“I want to urge my colleagues and young people too to desist from such an act, especially all forms of nudity. We need to put a stop to it. It is not good,” she added.

According to her she said she was ignorant that her action will take her to jail adding that the past year has taught her a serious lesson, although bitter but she had indeed learnt from them all and would guide her ways proper.

She indicated that prior to her sentence, she has not posted anything nude on social media, something she believes demonstrates her commitment to a ‘#StopNudity’ campaign.

Meanwhile she was asked to appear before the court every two weeks as part of her bail legalities. Her passport was however taken by the court for the same reason.
