Cardi B said this about Akuapem Polo’s sentence that has caused traffic on Twitter.

Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar who I popularly know as Cardi B has reacted to Rosemond Brown’s been convicted over taking naked picture with her son.

Akuapem Poloo, as the actress I popularly called, was sentenced to 90 days in prison for the act which generated a lot of controversy on social media when it first surfaced.

Speaking about the issue, Cardi B said the punishment was quite harsh for such an act which she supposed is seen on regular basis from different parts of the world.

Cardi B’s tweet was following a Twitter post by Afromusik which tagged her, seeking her opinion on the trending issue in Ghana.

“To@iamcardib your twinee in Ghana, Akuapem Poloo has been sentenced to 90 days imprisonment for posting naked photos together with her son on her son’s birthday in June 2020. what is your take on this Cardi????”

Meanwhile the Apesemakahene of Mampong Akwapim, Nana Yirenkyi I, has urged Ghanaians not associate jailed celebrity Akuapem Poloo with Akwapims because she is not one.

In his explanation, he said after having an encounter with the celebrity, “she didn’t prove to me that this is the town that I am from”.

“She told me she would come back again but here we are. So for me I can say that we should understand that she is a Ghanaian. She is our sister and when our own Ghanaian sister is going through trouble we should feel the pain.

“We should remove the ‘Akuapem’ name from her name because for me to tag that Akuapem people are happy or not [is neither here nor there].”

Cardi B on the other hand has said that if there was supposed to be any form of punishment at all, Akuapem Poloo could have been tasked to perform community service or given a social media probation.

According to the American born rapper, Poloo’s picture was not depicting sexuality in any form but rather the natural bond between a mother and her child, which she believes is normal.

“I seen a lot of Americans do photoshoots like that .Even tho is not my style I don’t think she was going for sexual more going the natural idea.I think jail is a bit harsh .Maybe social media probation or community service,” Cardi B’s tweet.

SOME REACTIONS following Cardi B’s tweet

1. I think the jail is a bit harsh as well , atleast they can deactivate her account. We have alot of people that takes nudes picture and they were not sent to jail.

2. Bit harsh? She would have been jailed for 3 yrs but the judge chose 90 days.

3. You can’t be serious @iamcardib don’t take America like Africa, they both starts with ’A’’s but trust me Africa has more discipline than you can ever imagine in the world.

4. U ankasa naa u are not serious.. you twinnie and you responded??? Abeg oo u get twin for Ghana here.

5. In Ghana there’s nothing like community service. Straight jail or nothing

6. That’s why we are Ghanaian! We quick to destroy people than developing the nation

7. But let me ask if it was a man who was naked infront of his naked female daughter also, and poised for a photoshoot, will this conversation still be the same?

8. wait.. you have a twin in africa?

9. The jail term is too harsh, The same statement @sarkodie made. Two legends think alike

10. Forget about this issue.. when are you going on a date with me?

11. The community service as in make she job give zoom lion sweep circle or what cos??

12. Awww cardi responded…God bless you Akuapem poloo twinee …you are a kind person unlike some of these so called celebrities..hypocrisy at it best..Herrr God bless you wate…show her more love do a video call with her when she comes back so E go pain them moreeeee

13. Cardi , unfortunately her same “friends” and celebrities were the ones who pushed for the intervention of child’s right and the rest. I pray her appeal goes through

14. The 90 days jail sentence is even as a result of Ghanaian celebrities pleading for justice to be tempered with mercy, If not so she would have been sentenced for a longer period.

15. She is already done with a day , lets allow her to finish with the rest 89 days

16. Wow, learn something new everyday, in Ghana you can go to jail for taking a nude photo with your child and they have no community service.

17. Bail her out she really admire u to the core. Sad situation. Her lawyer could have did more

PREAMBLE

How many times have you had an encounter with something extraordinary which caught your attention?

A shore inventor has caught the eyes of many with a non-stop sighting shoes. The introduction of these shoes has broke a debate on the various social media platforms.

 FACTS

Fecal Matter, a company established by the couple Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran who are known for their bizarre, otherworldly Instagram aesthetics, created their most ambitious project to date, a pair of boots designed to look like human legs and feet.

The fashion duo are known known for their outlandish and otherworldly visuals of aliens on the streets.

One of their most controversial looks was a digitally altered pair of foot-like shoes that were featured on Instagram sometime ago. In reality, the heels were prosthetics that were asthenic but it is very convalescent.

The shoes are a physical incarnation of what Fecal Matter believes humans might look like as a result of social media ideals and body modification. Meanwhile their anticipations have been materialized as many are ordering for the shoes.

Before you dream of finally being able to walk barefoot in public without dirtying your soles, you might want to consider that a pair of these “Skin Heels” is the best choice for you, but what would people be thinking seeing you in these.

The couple worked with artist Sarah Sitkin in creating the human skin boots which sold at a blink of the eye.

The shoe, upon first sight, could be mistaken for human feet, except for the coloured lace stitched in front. Like normal footwear, it also came in different sizes, colours and shoe packaging.

 Pricing

These controversial foot wears are very expensive to buy as it ranges between$40.00 and above. There are several discounts though but the pricing are on high.

MoMo Update: Share This to all MTN Mobile Money Agents across the country

A total of 250,000 agents made transactions since the new system was implemented on April 2, 2021.

MTN had blocked over 7,000 agents from transacting business on Mobile Money (MoMo) since the implementation. This was because they allegedly failed to comply with the new arrangement to request valid identity (ID) cards of customers.

Meanwhile an earlier report was that almost all of the affected agents flooded the headquarters of MTN Ghana on Tuesday for better exegesis.

The number blocked represents about 3% of the agents across the country who have been transacting business since the when the start of the new initiative.

NOTICE

The company had disclosed that all merchants whose accounts have been blocked for one month have up to the close of Thursday April 15, to cash out money from their wallets.

“We have allowed them to take out their money. We started from Tuesday to the close of day today[April 15],” Godwin Tamakloe said.

After the deadline if someone refused or could not withdraw from his or her wallet, what it means is that the victim must wait for a month when the suspension will expire before any due transactions would be done, or better still you can contact the company for any due recompense.

This according to the company a way of [punishing] the victims for their incompetence and unlawful actions.

WHAT DID THE MERCHANTS DO

According to the Telecom gaint, these merchants failed to comply with the policy of the new arrangement which is requesting for and entering details of a valid ID of a costumer during any transaction.

The company clarified that it saw repeated errors which was made deliberately to beat the system. The suspected that these merchants knew the IDs were invalid but kept trying to make the impossible possible.

“When you pick some of the examples of the numbers they capture, you realise this [the suspension] is because the person tried to go round the system. Somebody will put 1234567890.”

“There is a clear-cut intention when you look at some of these things, and they will not do it once or twice. Some will do it about 100 times in the days we are reviewing,” Me. Tamakloe noted.

That notwithstanding, the Merchants also claimed that there was inadequate orientation given on how to go about this new development. This they say caused the unintentional errors which resulted in the blocking of their sims.

How Safe Are The IDs In The Hands Of The Merchant

The process according to the company has been digitised, so agents do not need to record the ID details of customers in booklets. They believe this is a way of protecting the privacy of the customer.

MTN Should Be Blame For All These

According to the Merchants, they were unable to detect fake ID numbers of their customer. They are currently asking for better orientation in oder to implement the system effectively.

APPRECIATION

The company had hailed its agents despite the current happenings as they stated that over 17,000 of them had cling to the system since April 2 when it came into full force.

“This tells us that agents have generally welcomed the use of ID cards for MoMo transactions and are complying,” Mr. Tamakleo exclaimed.

Meanwhile he stressed that the system had come to stay, and that they would continue to monitor its progress and make adjustments until it was perfected.

EFFICACY OF THE SYSTEM

The core mandate of the new development according to MTN Mobile Money Service was that the system has come to curb the high fraudulent activities.

After about two weeks of its implementation, we have actually not heard of any suspicious happenings and for that matter I may say the system has starting on a good course and we hope it ends well.
